About Us

Celebration Lutheran Church is a member of

The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (www.LCMS.org)

Growing a community rooted in faith, fellowship & service.

A Brief History

Celebration Lutheran Church began holding services on June 3, 1993 with 35 in attendance for the first service.  We began worship services in the auditorium of Wesley Manor, now Westminster Woods retirement community.  In may of 2000 Celebration moved to the Hardage-Giddens Chapel until the completion
of our current home on January 27, 2001.

Rejoicing that God has called us together for His work,

it is the MISSION of Celebration Lutheran Church

to help the world KNOW the grace of God

as revealed in the Lord Jesus Christ,

and to help us GROW into His mature disciples

through the Holy Spirit's work in Word and Sacrament,

and to inspire us to GO as Missionaries

into our worlds for His glory.

Celebration was formed in an effort to further the spreading of God's word in south Jacksonville
and northwest St. Johns County.  The name Celebration was chosen as a reminder of the
joy we have in knowing Jesus as our Lord and Savior - a knowledge that calls for Celebration !
